• Which wine reminds you of a special experience with your mom?

There is actually one wine, a Riesling from Himmelreich Hof in the Venosta Valley which still reminds me of a spring afternoon during corona, when the general mood was a bit tense and sad. We had the idea of sitting on the spa terrace with a bottle of wine in the afternoon and actually wanted to shoot a video for Instagram. In the end, the video was never made, and we didn't just have one bottle of wine. It was a super lovely afternoon spent with my mom at a time that was a bit difficult all round.

• Why did you become a sommelier?

What fascinates me about wine is not just the flavour or the analysis, but above all the people, the stories and the idea behind each wine. A wine arouses emotions, creates memories and conveys a very special outlook on life - that's exactly what I find so fascinating about wine.

• When I come to your hotel with my mom, what is an absolute must-do?

So, the first thing you should definitely do is sit on the terrace and start your vacation with a good glass of wine. After an afternoon by the pool, you should definitely try our small wine tasting for dinner in the evening. Our sommeliers will select an exciting wine for each course and accompany you through the evening - a really great experience.
