The trail starts off adventurously on wooden platforms attached to Nörderberg, the north-facing valley side. Whilst winding between craggy mountain walls and via rock tunnels along the roaring river, the stroll remains pleasant and safe. The valley then opens up to reveal a breathtaking view of the Meran area and the Passier Valley with two of its imposing mountains peaks, Ifinger and Hirzer. Nature enthusiasts get their fill on this hiking adventure trail from information boards on flora and fauna whereby the blaze of colours provided by the blossoming fruit trees in spring is an unforgettable experience for fans of colourful natural phenomena. If that's not enough, take the circular route to Lebenberg Castle - one of the most beautiful residences in the Etsch Valley - boasting an impressive rococo hall of mirrors.
the WALK: from Hotel Oberwirt to Töll > approx. 2 hours - from Töll to Lana approx. 4 hours.
the KNOWLEDGE: built in the 13th century, Lebenberg Castle is one of the most beautiful and fully furnished, privately-owned castles in South Tyrol.
