Wild and thrilling all the way up to the Eishöfen (ice farms)

As you walk, interesting information panels provide an insight into the alpine farming, flora, fauna and geology of this unique valley. There are also some hands-on elements to marvel at, such as a simplified model of a butter churn at the Alpine hut, Mitterkaser Alm. Then at Rableid Alm a telescope can be used to watch the expert climbing skills of chamois and ibex, and golden eagles are also not an uncommon sight. The valley is wild and pristine. The landscape has been shaped by ice, water and wind over thousands of years and today, presents itself as a unique experience of nature. Stories and legends about the Schnals and Pfossen Valleys conclude this alpine adventure trail. Lying at an altitude of over 2000 metres and only open in the summer months, Eishof is a welcoming snack stop for ramblers and mountaineers.
