From Vinum Hotel Paradies, take a leisurely stroll through Marling to the junction with the St. Felix path.
This is the starting point of the Wine Culture Path. Approximately 4km long, this beautiful wine trail leads you down quiet village lanes and information panels with detailed texts on the history and culture of wine can be read by walkers. There are always special wine highlights to marvel at, such as larger-than-life viticultural objects like a reber (vine knife), a moster (pounder)or a pazeide (ancient wine/measuring vessel). You will also pass the Meran Winery Co-operative and numerous historic wine farms in Mitterterz. For those who love architecture and design, a stop at the Merano Winery is a must: oak, glass, a wonderful view and lots of wine. A guided tour of the unusually designed cellar rooms with their different colour schemes is well worthwhile. The walk ends in the centre of Marling offering a unique view of the Meran vineyards.
the WALK: a loop from the centre of Marling towards Meran Winery and back > in 1.5 hours
the KNOWLEDGE: on the village square in Marling is a pazeide, a measuring and ladling device for wine from times gone by.
