Tradition and intimacy, naturalness and elegance, affinity to nature and local character

Hotel Saltus

4 generations ago or in 1954, great-grandfather Franz Wenter decided to open a hotel in Jenesien. The only connection to the outside world at that time was the suspension cableway from Bolzano.

The short cabin ride is quickly compensated by a magnificent view of the wild majestic peaks of the Dolomite chain. A love for nature was sown into the heart of this remote village with its clean crisp air at an altitude of 1,100 metres and this very love has been passed down from generation to generation. The last expression of this love for nature is Eco Hotel Saltus, a nature hotel with the highest standards in tradition and intimacy, naturalness and elegance, affinity to nature and local character.

Hotel Saltus is a place of arrivals and journeys, where the yoga teacher is also the sommelier, where globetrotters, artists, pleasure affineurs and many other identities unite in the hearts of the 3 individuals - Hedwig, Claudia and Nadja. These three women believe in the power of nature, gentle activities and conscious pleasure. They offer guided forest-bathing tours, wine tastings with forest views and after yoga they wait for you in the hotel bar with a glass of carefully selected wine made by South Tyrolean vintners. Thereby, the three of them demonstrate that this is not contradiction, but expression for a balanced approach to life.
