These excellent South Tyrolean wines are international wine ambassadors and are a reflection of the rapid advances being made in South Tyrolean wine cellars and viticulture. The VINUM-Hotels South Tyrol November wine letter is dedicated to the best-ranked South Tyrolean premium wines! The very best vintage wines will be presented on Friday 29th November in "Gustelier", at the HGV headquarters on Schlachthofstraße. The event: "Top of South Tyrol Wine 2019" where wines awarded with the best ratings by renowned Italian wine guides Gambero Rosso, Slow Wine, L'Espresso, AIS, Veronelli, Vinibuoni, Doctor Wine and Bibenda will be presented in an exclusive tasting session.
"Gustelier" opened in April 2019 and is already proving extremely popular with connoisseurs, gourmets and the gourmands of tomorrow.

"At 'Gustelier – the atelier for a taste experience' - we provide a setting where good, healthy cooking and dining are discussed and reflected upon, experienced and discovered, taught and even cooked," says HGV President Manfred Pinzger. This year at "Top of Südtirol Wein 2019" renowned international wine guides will also be present, including Robert Parker, Wine Spectator, Falstaff, James Suckling and Vinous. Guests of VINUM-Hotels South Tyrol will have the opportunity not only to taste exquisite sparkling wines, white wines and red wines from 4pm to 9pm but also to share their thoughts with other participants at the event. Star chef Herbert Hintner, one of South Tyrol's most important culinary ambassadors, underlines: "With the new 'Gustelier – the atelier for a taste experience' we want to address not only HGV members and employees in the hotel and restaurant industry by encouraging them to join in and discover new things, but we also want to offer South Tyrol's residents a platform where they can obtain important information from nutrition experts on enjoying healthy, well-balanced indulgence."

Andreas Hellrigl (1932 - 1993) was not only one of the best chefs of his time, initially as a Michelin starred chef in Merano and then towards the end of his far too short life, as a culinary ambassador at his gourmet restaurant "Palio" in New York - Hellrigl, crossed culinary borders, showing and opening up South Tyrolean cuisine to new worlds, ideas, combinations and compositions. In this context, one may… no one must regard him as the cultural precursor of South Tyrolean modernity on the stove, indeed as the forerunner and inspiration to the highly acclaimed star chefs of our day.
