Valle Isarco/Eisacktal

The Eldorado of white wine

The Eisacktal Valley, which was mainly planted with red varieties until 100 years ago, has long been one of Italy's most prestigious growing areas for white wine. Warm summer days and cool nights in early autumn lead to an exciting flavor concentration of dense grapes.

Wide spectrum of white wine, pleasant acidity

Riesling, Sylvaner, Grüner Veltliner, Müller Thurgau, Kerner, Gewürztraminer and Pinot gris can remain on the vine for a notably long time in the Eisacktal Valley, due to constant movement of the air during the final phase of ripening. Opulent, plump Spätlese notes are thus combined with a very fresh, long-lasting acidity – also in the wine. These are very fruity
white wines, vinified in an absolutely unfussy way; the austere charm of a sometimes harsh climate, with northern characteristics, is clearly evident.
